Violet is a great color for hazel eyes. Anything with a purple undertone will make the eyes look lighter.
While the darker purple shadows will brighten your eyes, the metallic shades will bring out the gold flecks in your irises
Metallic shadows are a staple for any eye color, but they're even more extraordinary for hazel eyes that have hints of gold.
Warm, earthy brown shades are ideal everyday shadow colors for hazel eyes. Golden taupe or tan shadows work well on the lid. For the crease, opt for brown shades with bronze or copper undertones -- you can also use these shades closer to the lash line for a smoky effect. Chocolate brown eye shadow makes an ideal eyeliner for both the upper and lower lash lines.
Green eye shadow helps accent the green flecks in hazel eyes, but if you choose warm green shadows, you can also highlight the gold and brown tones.

lots of colours compliment hazel eyes in different ways. browns and neutral colours with a gold as a feature colour really bring out both the green and the brown. purples work well with the browns and blues are amazing for the green in the eyes. with hazel eyes pretty much any colour will work. and of course the way someone uses the colours is important, a brown eye with a halo gold will really bring out pretty much all the colours in the eye and will still look stunning without being to overwhelming whereas a purple or blue can make a look appear very messy if applied incorrectly. :))

Hazel pops on its own, right?
gold, dark greens, and brown, or sweep bronze shadows across your lids to make the gold in your eyes pop out
What you are doing: brown melds with green brightened with gold. Got it? Don't stop with eyeshadow though.
