Are there any authentic restaurants in NYC?

I'm visiting from Singapore and by god do you guys not know how to make Ramen, Mapo Tofu, or Pho correctly. Are White/Black Americans typically bad at cooking, your tastebuds inferior to Easterners, or you're just too uncultured? I'm now scared of checking out the Los Angeles food scene.
Update: If you guys can't even handle Kimchi, please stop trying to present your lousy "cooking" as "Asian". It's orientalist to the core. Bad enough you guys created Logan Paul.
