That is not just unethical but FRAUDULENT. Dump that recruiter immediately. You can be fired for any misstatement, false statement, etc. Companies verify degrees, prior employment, character references, etc. You will not be hired. Especially as a new grad, the fraud will be obvious.
IF you are looking for work which involves any employment visa, this recruiter is an out-and-out fraud. Any misrepresentation of qualifications means visa denial, or revocation with deportation/mandatory departure, and permanent bar to entry. Lots of recruiters in India are especially notorious for this. And lots of Indians have been denied visas or visa revoked for it. E.g. in one audit of H1-b visa holders, HALF of the Indians lost their visas with order of mandatory departure in lieu of deportation, and are permanently barred from US - & therefore from Canada, UK, EU, Australia, NZ, Singapore & a bunch more. Of course, India is the hardly the only country with crooked recruiters, just the most notorious & highest incidence levels of fraud.
