I am sorry it is always lame to have a birthday on a Tuesday. One thing to do is to find 5 things that are beautiful and take pictures of these things. One thing I do is take pictures of flowers and all of their colors at the garden section of Home Depot. I also take pictures of beautiful trees in fall color, and sunsets of color. Then print them out and make a collage to remember that today had some beauty in it for your birthday even if humans did not help. Then put the collage into a notebook, and 5 years from now, when you have another birthday on a Tuesday, pull it out and remember. Then try and do better for another person's birthday. One thing to do for December birthdays is to find beauty in things that are not related to the Christmas holidays. We like to go to the aquarium and look at fish and eat a bowl of clam chowder. We also like to go to the top of the building that has the cool bar to look at the lights of the city. If you live near the ocean, go to a restaurant at the pier and look at the ocean while you have a simple soda from the bar. We go to the hilltop at night and take pictures of the lights of the city at night. We take pictures of roses in bloom here is sunny California, and we take pictures of snow and pine trees in the mountains and the river with clear water. We keep those pictures for a slide show for our computer so we see something beautiful instead of lame people who forgot to wish us a happy birthday. Collect some beauty today just for yourself and look for surprises! We like the really good cafe at the cheese plant visitor's center, we like the really good local chocolate-covered almonds at the little store down the road at the almond orchard, we like the rose garden in the park inexplicably in full bloom, and we like the creek with the water running over the rocks. Then we go back to the holiday decorations tomorrow. If you can do this, you just might have a better day! Anyway, happy birthday from a random stranger!
