The Rangers and Wankers have the most international bonus pool money and only seven clubs have more than $1,000,000 available. The Astros, Cubs and Dodgers have just $300,000 available so it's hard to envision the boy winding up there.
The posting fee is $20,000,000 and not many clubs can afford that. I'd say Texas, Boston, the Wankers, LAA of A, and maybe Seattle, are likely landing spots.
The only sure thing is that whoever signs him is going to regret it. The boy has put up decent numbers against players in Japan but that's similar to a kid posting solid A ball numbers here. Eric Thames was a monster playing in Korea, hitting .349 with 124 homers and 387 RBI in three years there. The his three MLB seasons Thames has hit .249 with 52 homers and 125 RBI.
Wladimir Balentien has hit 217 in seven years in Japan, homering once every 12 at bats. In the States, he got into 170 games over three seasons, homering once every 34 at bats.
The talent level in Asia is very, very low and some club is going to regret wasting so much money on a gimmick player.
