There's no solid answer. The size and type of the font, the margins and gutters, the line spacing, the white space, the page headers, the book design, all impact the number of pages it takes to print a novel.

Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones" is just shy of 100,000 words. One paperback version is 352 pages. One hardcover is 328. That's a pretty big difference right there. If you find a book with many more editions, you'll get huge disparities, sometimes over 100 pages.

Hardcover, paperback or tradback size? Paperback would have more pages, given the size. What font size are you thinking of? That affects it too.

About the same as "The Adventures of Huck Finn" or "Wuthering Heights"
