Can a teacher see view your assignment even if you haven't submitted it in google classroom?

I was just wondering if a teacher can still view your assignment from google classroom even if you haven't' submitted it yet.

They can see it if you've shared it with them,, the teacher can edit and give u feedback on it, but if u didn't share the doc with them then they can't see it
