Yes, in fact a lack of education in the US should be regarded and recognised as a Federal problem, a National Emergency in fact. The US Gov't should be slapping up colleges all over the place for free. The great irony is that the poor are manipulated into electing the rich whose aim is simply to keep the paradigm of their being poorer than themselves intact. So they sabotage growth and economic development and the advancement of their fellow citizens, in order to keep the poor people poorer than the rich. Ironically this makes the rich Americans overall poorer in the long run, presiding over a decaying and failing state instead of a booming country full of successful people. Even the factories and industry which used to support a middle class has been removed, leaving only people who had not enough education in the first place, unemployed. So they import rich, super well educated foreigners instead. The politicians will eventually destroy their own base through undermining themselves and undertaking their country. That may be unpatriotic, but you can't say they are not in charge.
