Well; hopefully you were not. It is not like winning free money for LIFE.
You will be maimed, scarred, walk with a limp, seeing out of one eye and deaf, with a big gash scar across your face that will NEVER GO AWAY and broken or missing limbs.
. When they show accidents on the news, you see crushed up cars. The mangled bleeding bodies have already been removed and most of the blood is mistaken for oil on the ground. So not noticed at all. What first responders(ambulance drivers) is much worse than you see on T.V.. There is even the odd decapitation.
. It is like the automotive industry or the oil companies (as they are tied together) don't want you to witness the horrors of auto crashes(which happen multiple times every DAY) They would not be able to sell cars or gasoline if people reduced their amount of driving.
. Even with a big settlement, it is worth NOTHING to you if your brains have turned to mush...and you can't feed yourself or take care of yourself. Joe vegetable. It happens more times than the auto industry cares to admit.
So, no one answer is right. Each accident is different,as each injury is different.
You will most likely need to work after the accident. So it is detrimental to you to get into one.
Maybe you get a rock "Charlie Brown"
