Would the Senate have to take a vote for impeachment if the President's approval rating gets to be too low?

Donald Trump's mother once said that she doesn't even know how she created a son like Donald.

That's all doodly squat talk from the kooky and delusional Resistance Movement that can no longer Tolerate any Republican in high elected office. Proof is we've seen their Progressive regression ever since Reagan and it's only gotten worse with every new Republican President.

The senate only has to hold impeachment hearings and vote on convicting if the house votes to impeach the president. Approval ratings do not play in it.

No, being unpopular isn't an impeachable offence.

The Senate doesn't have to do anything until the House of Representatives passes articles of impeachment. Since the House is controlled by republicans that's not going to happen YET. However, if Trump becomes unpopular enough that might spur the republicans to get rid of him to avoid a bloodbath in next years mid-term elections.

Impeachment is based on prosecutable crimes, not approval ratings or petitions.

Ah YES, I saw that article, but thats not what she meant She meant she never thought she'd create such a successful son. See the way Propaganda works on you guys? They always take it out of Context. And then if they like you, they make the LIE they told you into MISSPEAK. - And the IMPEACHMENT business?? You cant IMPEACH someone because of Low Approval ratings. Its not against the Law.

They wouldn't have to. The presidency is not a popularity contest. Neither was the election.

But Republicans n Congress might decide Trump threatens their own seats, as the election suggests. There may be a tipping point where they decide to throw him under the bus to save their own sorry butts.
