Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. is a private for-profit, closely held corporation, and an American chain of retail arts and crafts stores based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, formerly called Hobby Lobby Creative Centers. The stores are managed by direct corporate hires.
It became 'famous' when it argued a case saying that as it was owened by people with religious beliefs that it should be exempt from some of the employee mandates of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare). It won its case in the Supreme Court.
They got even more 'famous' when they got in trouble over the illegal smuggling of artifact out of Iraq. And have recently openned a "Bible Museum" in Washington, DC.
