the gov't is not stealing anything from you

they are withholding what has been mandated by Congress in the form of SS and Medicare and that amounts to 7.65%% of your gross

the amount of income tax is determined by how you submit your W-4 to the employer to withhold on your gross earnings

None of it is stolen by the government.

Nothing is stolen by the government. You pay your share of taxes on your income as a contribution towards the services you receive from the government.

you will not be paying income tax at that income rate ,, for the most part federal tax is not until you make over $30,000.00 a year

you will pay social security tax about 7% your share and employer pays another 7% plus disability tax and then your state tax

Stolen? Pays for certain services you get, and coverage for things like social security if you become disabled or when you retire But that aside, you'll probably pay around 10%-20% depending on how much you make total for the year, whether you're a dependent, and where you live.

You are not even worthy of a job if you do not know what happens with your TAX dollars.

Grow up. Nothing is stolen. Taxes support all the things that a government provides its citizenry. You know, defense, bridges, roads, air traffic control, food and drug safety, transportation safety, air traffic control, labor laws, regulation of businesses, the FBI, the CIA, the NSA, NASA: the kind of stuff you need to live in a civilized society.

And if you can't figure out something as simple as your tax rate, you'll always be making around $13 an hour. At that pay rate, you pay very little, if any, federal income tax.

The government doesn't steal money, it takes the taxes on the money you've earned to support necessary programs.
