It is the Painters problem. You contact the head painter of the company and refuse final payment until you are satisfied. Painting everything else was not in the contract. Read it. No where does it say they can come in and paint like "Bozo and Dumbo the clowns" and you got to pay for that. That is not a professional job. ergo No money. If you wanted a mess YOU could have painted it yourself.Take it to COURT.The judge will be on your side for he has had these clowns too. They will lose. You don't care.
. Painters that do this for a living... take pride in their work, relying on customer referrals.
- These guys are just interested in stealing a quick buck, screw referrals. They will do some other con job doing something else. But mainly they target seniors who do not give out referrals (not like new building contractors who build 100 houses/year)
..I know, I worked for one of these clowns and his methods and principles were "Lacking" He was a joke. He promises one thing but does a lot less...but charges as though he did all he promised. A lie.
Then he asked to get paid early so the wife could do the banking. Just an excuse so the people could not put a "STOP PAYMENT" on the check. Or he asked for CASH before he was finished. So the people are out of the money...one way or the other. He does not care. That is THEFT.
They give the good painters a bad name.
People are so afraid about criticizing bad workmanship? Why? They messed up because they "should not claim to be painters" They are stealing your money.
painted 50years so I know that is my responsibility.
If the carpet needs replacing, that is my cost.(my loss) If the couch needs replacing, that is my cost.(my loss) Latex comes off IF it is still wet. Use hot water and work on the paint and soak it long time. Maybe your carpet (if it is Shag) gets a haircut. and cut it out with scissors
That is why I am insured. Just in case. Or NEVER GET INTO THAT SITUATION...because maybe that item that got paint on it is a"priceless artifact" I worked in a STATE CAPITAL MUSEUM...so Millions of dollars worth of irreplaceable stuff.
Of course the clowns are not.
If the paint has dried 48 hours, and it is Latex. Then you need Lacquer Thinner and soak the paint with it using wet rags and the plastic paint will soften up with the fingernail scraping it off.
Or you could touch up the carpet using the same color paint as the carpet.,,to hide it.
