What is the difference between a perfume and a cologne?

I've heard that Cologne last less compared to perfume so why is it more expensive?

And which one is better for men?

The difference is the concentration of oils in the fragrance.

The highest concentration is in pure perfume. Next would be Eau de Parfum, then Eau de Toilette, and then Cologne.

Perfume is stronger and more concentrated. Cologne is 'watered down' with alcohol. Most people in the US prefer that people around them just smell clean, with fresh clothing and clean body/hair. Strong scents are VERY off-putting to many, and can result in allergies/headaches for bystanders. You will NOT leave a good memory, at all.

Cologne just means perfume for a guy.

I always thought it was the same, except perfume was women's scents and cologne was men's scents. I know for a fact though that perfumes and colognes last longer than body mists.

They're basically the same thing but, cologne is directed towards men while perfume is directed to woman.

Perfume is for girls. Cologne is for guys.
