If the cubs were to acquire Sonny Gray should they include Raija Davis as well?
Cubs need a bonified leadoff hitter with speed. They are missing Dexter Fowler. Why not Rajia Davis? They would have to overpay for Lorenzo Cain who is a pending free agent. Davis was with the world series Indians team last year can lead off and despite his age can still steal bases. Then amybe would consider Cain in the offseason as a free agent. Yes this would create more of a log jam in the outfield with Scwarber Happ Almora and Heyward already in the cubs oufield but why not get a true leadoff hitter who can set the table for Rizzo and Bryant

They have just added to their pitching; and pitching is the key to winning. Think of the Atlanta Braves of the '90's - incredible pitching with average defense and offense, and they won their division 14 years in a row. While it would be nice to have that proven lead off hitter (I completely agree with you about Fowler), what would it cost? Who would they have to give up? Except for Fowler, this is the same team that won the World Series last year - they just have to play up to their potential; which they have not done.
