While the Cubs gave up for prospects, including their top prospect Eloy Jimenez, an outfielder, they still have guys like Schwarber, Happ or Baez to also trade for another pitcher this month.

Quintana is under team control through 2020, with a very affordable salary for a guy who's 28. Arrieta and Lackey will likely be gone next year, so the Cubs need some long term pitching to replace them.
