Why do I keep getting e mails telling me you are going to cancel my yahoo account?

Yahoo tells me I have requested a deactivation. I have not and put this in the box that says, delete.

That is a phishing scam. Ignore and delete it.

Because hackers are out to steal your log in details and you are relying on webmail which isn't very good at filtering out fake spam. First of all, get yourself a decent mail client like Mozilla Thunderbird. Now you can open all those scam emails, click through to the fake Yahoo site and have fund entering vulgar words in the log-in boxes.
