Yes - very often. You just have to get the JUNK food out of your diet. First you have to know what JUNK food is. JUNK is bread, pasta, cereal, fruit juices, rice/potatoes - stuff that we take for granted as "food".... except that it's refined sugar. There's not much difference between a candy bar and a piece of bread except that the candy bar might be more nutritious.
You need to be eating good quality proteins and fats - eggs, meat, fish, chicken, olive oil, butter, coconut oil, avocado oil. Some green stuff - spinach salads.
If you want some science on JUNK food, get a copy of "Fat Chance" off of Amazon books. It's nasty stuff and it's real hard on your body.
If you want the whole diet, you might read through Atkin's book - "New Diet Revolution". He explains the JUNK/Sugar thing as well. That's what gave you that "pre"diabetes.
