Christians, do you think this Baptist minister was possessed by Satan?
"A Baptist pastor pleaded guilty Wednesday in connection to a September triple homicide at a Kentucky pawn shop.
Kenneth A. Keith, 48, the pastor at Main Street Baptist Church in Burnside, Ky.shot and killed gold-buying store proprietors Michael and Angela Hockensmith, and a customer, Daniel P. Smith, on Sept. 20."
The sicko "pastor" even attended the funerals of the people he murdered before the cops caught on.
"He offered his condolences to the devastated mourners, showing no sign that he perpetrated what authorities say was an act of cold-blooded violence, relatives said"
According to Protestants the minister will go to heaven as long as he believes in Jesus?

Anyone can say they believe in Christ, but here is what James 1:22 says about it:
True faith in Christ means being a doer of the word, and not just a hearer (James 1:22).

Just goes to show that going to church (or preaching in one) make you no more a Christian than standing in a garage thinking you are a car !
The Baptist church makes up what the Bible calls Babylon the great, the world empire of FALSE religion !
In connection to your comment where you say "According to Protestants the minister will go to heaven as long as he believes in Jesus?
NOTHING could be more further from the truth as the "once saved always saved " teaching is SO FALSE and not in the Bible, in fact this is what the Bible really says:
For if we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left, 27 but there is a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a burning indignation that is going to consume those in opposition
Of course genuinely repenting from the heart one can be forgiving by God, there were kings in the Bible who did just as bad and yet were forgiven, but that forgivness is Gods to grant and not ours !

I do not know anything about this news story.
However, I can answer your question.
It is impossible for a true Christian to be "possessed" by a demon.
A true Christian can be "oppressed" by demons, but not "possessed."
So it is possible this minister is not a real Christian. Maybe he is a fake Christian?
Where he stands with God is between him and God.

Who knows. What is certain is that if he ever had the Holy Spirit, he lost it then. I hope he repents and becomes a blessing to others in the prison ministries. This story is far from unique.
