    A whole lot.

There is probably a count somewhere, but its beside the point.

"messiah" refers to two government jobs.

    (1) There is "King Messiah".

The first King Messiah" was Saul.

That was about 1000 BCE. (3 thousand years ago)

The last King Messiah to date was Simon Barkochba.

He died in 135 AD (a little less than 2 thousand years ago)

There were periods when there was no king, but all in all -- that's over 500 years worth of messiahs.

    (2) There is also "High Priest Messiah"

There can be up to two at any one time.

The first High Priest Messiah was Aaron, the brother of Moses.

That was about 1500 BCE (3500 years ago)

The last one to date died with the king in 135 AD (his name is not certain)

In that period there was no High Priest for about 70 years.

So - on the whole over 1400 years worth of messiahs.

    > which messiah are waiting the jewish people?

When people talk about "The Messiah" that is prophesied,

    its really short for

"The King Messiah who will rule after the prophesies for World Peace are fulfilled"

Its really not that Jews are waiting for the guy --

Rather, Jews are waiting for the prophesies of world peace to be fulfilled.

The guy will just happen to be the guy who rules Israel after that.

In your case, I hope the Grammar Messiah comes and transforms you into somebody who can speak more intelligently than a three-year-old.

there is only one, but many people of the Jewish faith do not accept Jesus as their messiah.............they are waiting for "a man like Moses" and many will be deceived by the anti christ
