Why should I not believe this, it has happened in the last six months, and for many months before. The fact is it has been happening since forever, as it is happening now. Where bad things happen all the time, why any six months be an exception. It is just that for each bad thing that happens something good is to follow, in the view of a pessimist, to ruin the fun.
The common observation that good and bad, like positive and negative of electric charge, cancel each other out. But the world, if it is made of nothing but good and bad, is not nothing, it is not a zero sum of all that takes place. The fact is the world, including human life, is not only solidly and securely in place but it is developing as it is progressing towards some destination unknown.
It is therefore logically possible that the world is either predominantly good than it is bad or there is something else aside all that is good and bad. In other words, for each bad thing that happens there is more good in store for the following, it is this, or that the interplay of good and bad is but to the mind a little visible part of some grand design that itself cannot be categorised or classed as good or bad, that the true nature of which is hitherto unbeknown to the human mind. The next six months will be the same as the one of the past.
