Why is this hijacked government and its pet BBC trying to turn the coming Parliamentary election into a presidential election?

Because ALL the media do, because they know the electorate are also focusing on the party leaders. Let's face it, who the leaders are and what they're promising is all anyone takes notice of.

that sounds very surprising to hear you call the BBC the "pets" of the Conservatives ? I honestly dont think they are.I regard the BBC to be quite liberal/left wing.
There ase election rules and they have to be followed.I am not sure how you would want it any different ?
