Evolution has nothing to do with angular momentum, or gravity but it very adequately explains human emotion and God worship.
An early humans did not have venom like snakes, fangs like tigers, claws like bears, speed like cheetahs, climbing ability like monkeys, swimming ability like sharks, teeth like crocodiles, horns like bulls, size like elephants, camouflage like lizards, or armor like rhinos. In fact an early human in the wild was nothing more than a walking hamburger.
Lucky for us and unlucky for the other four species of humans on the planet, (survival of the fittest) we developed the ability to bond. We learned to form relationships and empathy towards one another. In doing so we began protecting your young.
A human baby takes 8 to 10 years to develop into a mature enough being so that it can recognize and begin to run away from danger or call for help. We take longer to mature than any other being on the planet.
So we formed clans, small family groups to protect one another. These grew into tribes, communities and so on. To keep people together, stories were invented. Beyond this river there are evil monsters. The lightening in the sky is the gods fighting. The god or gods we follow takes care of us but not the tribe across the river. The idea of God, is just one step in the evolutionary process , one of a whole array of myths and stories that helped communities to bond and care for one another.
The only defense human being have in the wild is their ability to work together. Give me a single modern man, alone, and let me stick him in the middle of the Amazon, and I give him 30 days before he is some animal's lunch. People alone are not the best at surviving.
Evolution allowed us to form groups. Evolution allowed us to make up stories and myths to keep those groups together. Emotions and a shared mythology are directly responsible for human evolution. Without these things we would be extinct, just like the other 4 species of human.
