STP temperature is 0 ºC = 273 K
Vrms = √(3RT / M)
(a) Vrms = √(3 * 8.314J/mol·K * 273K / 0.004kg/mol) = 1305 m/s
(b) Oxygen gas is diatomic, 32 g/mol, so
1305 m/s = √(3 * 8.314J/mol·K * T / 0.032kg/mol)
T = 2185 K = 2458 K
Hope this helps!
