I voted for Trump. I did so because I agreed with his platform. Even then, I was suspicious because it is my 47 years on this earth of experience that politicians lie and break promises. Trump could still turn out to be a phony, but as far as I can see he's stuck to many campaign promises and I'm impressed. He promised certain specific things he's already done or started and he hasn't been in office very long; he's also been consistent with the tone of his campaign rhetoric as far as the military and foreign policy. Nothing he's done has come as a surprise, I'm so far I'm really glad I voted for him. North Korea has been threatening us for a while now, even during Obama's terms, and I think it's necessary to deal with that threat before it becomes a real thing...starting diplomatic talks with China about North Korea was a really good idea, I wish Obama had thought of that. If he had, we wouldn't be in this position now where Kim Jung U n has gone as far to test his nukes. But Trump has so far not passed the buck to bemoan what hasn't been done...he seems right where he needs to be, that is, picking up with what is left here and being a true leader. Most of all I'm impressed with Trumps supposed reliance (hope it's sincere) on God, whom he mentioned in one speech I saw, not once but three times.
