    STP temperature is 0 ºC = 273 K

    Vrms = √(3RT / M)

    (a) Vrms = √(3 * 8.314J/mol·K * 273K / 0.004kg/mol) = 1305 m/s

    (b) Oxygen gas is diatomic, 32 g/mol, so

    Vrms = √(3 * 8.314J/mol·K * 273K / 0.032kg/mol) = 461 m/s

    Hope this helps!
