    Gas law problem....

    PV = nRT ............... ideal gas equation

    V = nRT / P ............ solve for V

    V = 6.29 mol x 62.36 Ltorr/molK x 295.4K / 30.0 torr

    V = 3860 L ............. rounded to three significant digits

    F = 1.8C + 32 ..... and ..... C = (F-32)/1.8

    K = C + 273

    The units of "torr" have replaced "millimeters of mercury", but the two are interchangeable. Standard pressure = 760 torr ... or ... 760 mm Hg

    Use the value of R which corresponds to the units of pressure

    R = 8.314 LkPa/molK ................ P in kilopascals

    R = 0.08206 Latm/molK ............ P in atmospheres

    R = 62.36 Ltorr/molK ................. P in torr
