This works on older types of Accord. Find and remove the "back up: fuse for 10 seconds. This clears the memory of fault codes stored on the ecu.

Can't do any harm. Make sure the ignition is OFF

You don't reset computers. If you're trying to turn off the CEL go to an auto store and have the codes read for free and do the repairs that are needed that triggered the CEL. Many times there are computer "reflashes" that address shifting problems or other trouble that comes up after production. It's best to call the dealer and give them the VIN so they can look up if their are any "open recalls" you've missed.

Hi you don't do it a Honda dealer does not reset it his diagnostic tester does this when it is plugged in and reads off allot fault codes. as for your after market code reader throw it in the bin.

  • The maintenance light? Hold in the trip odo reset button then turn the key to the on position. When the light flashes and goes out, release the button and you're all set. If the check engine light is on, then you will need to hook the car up to sn OBDII diagnostic computer.
