"Should sex change surgery be paid for with tax money?"

It already is in many countries that have a national healthcare service.

For transsexual people transition (aka "sex change") is both medically indicated and medically necessary.

The problem is most people are ignorant and don't realize that transsexualism (gender identity-body mismatch) is a birth condition and not a choice or mental illness.

Also, let's remember that transsexual people pay taxes too.

So, YES, it should be covered by insurance or national healthcare.

Yes, because as a result the Treasury will receive many times that revenue from the more productive person who is now happy in their body. In any case, we want to live in a compassionate society, do we not?

There are more serious and immediately life threatening conditions that require surgeries, which are not performed through tax dollars. So, no.

No it shouldn't!! Mutilation should be banned! It's a cruel practice that not only destroys the bodies of those deviants but encourages their mental health delusions! As we know the medics love it because of all the money they make from those sick creatures! The big pharma companies know they will be getting a long time investment from them due to them having to take cancer causing artificial hormones for the rest of their live's!! They're being used as experiments and for profit but are too mentally ill to understand that!

Hell no. No tax money should go towards any unnecessary procedures.
