I HAD THIS PROBLEM, but no more moles!! Okay. You think the moles are the problem, but they are not, they are just a symptom of your problem. Your problem, is the food they are finding as they tunnel through your lawn. Most likely, your lawn has a grub problem. Grubs are a mole's delicacy and you have a free restaurant going on in your lawn.
So, get rid of the grubs and the moles will shop elsewhere for their food. Treat your lawn with grub killer and your mole problem will go away.
For those who do not want to use chemicals on their lawn, the other option is battery operated mole deterrents. These are devices that stick in the ground and cause a vibration. Now, because moles are under ground, they cannot see but their sense of feel is astounding as they can detect a predator while digging below ground and beat feat in the other direction. So, this vibrating deterrent fools the mole to it's instinctual thought process to beat feet away from what it perceives to be danger.
Those are your two choices. I chose to kill the grubs because they feed on the grass roots!
