Character names for a story?
I m writing a story about a lady named Roxanne who is in jail. Her 3 daughters need to bail her out since she actually didn t commit the crime, it was a mistake. She hen gives birth to a baby girl.
A year from the past
The jail's name
4 girl names starting with V
Roxanne's cell mate (who actually committed the crime!!!!)
A few random names from that time
I think the year could be between 1900 and 1940 :)
The cell mate is female since Roxanne is obviously in a women's jail
I chose some names!!!!!!!!
Clover Eleanora (Eleanora is her middle name)
Atkins Prison - anagram for mistake
The family name is O'Neil except for Clover's which is Lynch
I changed Virginia to Vienna

I can think of a few from WWII Britain: Irene, Ada, Ida, Clover, James, Nancy, Joyce, Charles, John... The names starting with V (female): Virginia, Vivian, Viola, Verna... The cellmate needs a gender first... The jail's name could be an anagram of a word that would describe it or something about it in a different language, but I'm not the best at that stuff...
UPDATE: The cell mate could be called Nora (short for Elenora) meaning light in Greek, I think. This would be funny and ironic I guess...
Sorry if that didn't help. ^_^

Just go ahead and take all the names directly from "Chicago" since that is where you got the plot .

"A year from the past"?!
You really need to tell your teachers that composition is a truly serious problem for you. And your parents too. Good god.
