Do you laugh at how mad the BATF is about 3D printed firearms?

I have several questions about "copying a gun".
How does the copier know that the barrel is hollow? Making a copy of the outside of the barrel is fine. Without the hollow center and rifling it's pretty useless.
There are moving parts inside of the firearm that would have to be copied exactly in order for the firearm to work. Wouldn't the operator of the copy machine have to completely disassemble the firearm and copy each piece, then reassemble the pieces of the original firearm and the copy to make them functional?
Seems like a lot of work! Making a copy of the outside of the firearm (without disassembling it) seems like it would make a perfect looking non-functional copy of the original. How would the copier "know" that the magazine is removable ... and hollow with a spring in the middle to push rounds toward the chamber unless the piece is totally disassembled ?

So you basically read these gun nut articles and giggle like a little girl, despite this not being an actual issue to anyone who isn't on some sort of NRA clickbait list.
