Acc to this Indian Sufi called Randhawa he said all muslims need to believe in Shiva consort Shakti? Do you think he proven it convincingly?
His theory is
Allah, Amba, Akka, Amma are the synonyms of Shakti the consort of S(h)iva.
Hence in Hinduism, Allah = Shakti --> (a)
In Islam, Allah = Almighty God ---> (b)
Dr Zakir Naik and IRF say Illah in Hindu Vedas] = Allah in Islam.
Illah = Allah = Al Illah (as in Al Quran, Al Haram)
Illah = Allah = (c); Hence (a) = (b) = (c)

Some sufis believe in innovations that take them out of the folds of Islam, like the person you mentioned in your question, believing in shiva, a Hindu God that fights with other Hindu Gods, is disbelief.
What Zakir Naik states is the veda could have potentially been a scripture but became distorted and he is attempting to find traces of Islam within it before its distortion, however there is no evidence on the Islamic side of things that the veda has any correlation with the religion of Allah ta'ala, it is just his way to get hindus to leave their paganism and to become Muslim.
