Does it hurt a car to run it without the throttle positioning sensor (TPS) plugged in? It's a 1988 Chevy! 5.0 engine.?

    It won't run well and it will shift poorly, but it won't do any damage.

    it wont run right it will stall all the time I guess.

    Let us know how it does run if it is driveable I think it wont be but haven't tried I don't think Ive ever found a bad tps.

      It seems to run better without it plugged in. It wad sputtering and stalling before I disconnected it

    It probably won't shift right and waste gas.
