d = (1/2)at^2 v0*t Here d = 151 m and a is the acceleration of gravity, 9.81 m/s^2

For the first child's rock v0 = 0 so 151 = (9.81/2)t^2; we can determine t from this as 5.5484 seconds.

For the second child's rock we know it takes 1.3 seconds less to reach bottom, or 4.2484 seconds.

This rock has nonzero initial velocity and its distance is given by: d = (1/2)at^2 v0*t

plugging in known values of d (151 m) and a (9.81 m/s^2) gives v = 14.7 m/s

I think i know why you think you are 5'9. You're 5.9 FEET. Meaning that you're around 5'11.

188 cm is about 6 foot 2

1 foot = 12 inches

1 inch = 2.54 cm

180 cm = 5' 10.87"

188 cm = 6' 2.016"

1 inch = 25.4mm (millimeters); 1 inch equals 2.54cm (centimeters)

For height, they usually round them up or down slightly, by 1/8 or 1/4 inch or 5mm

190cm or 1.90m = 6' 3"

188cm or 1.88m = 6' 2"

185cm or 1.85m = 6' 1"

183cm or 1.83m = 6 ft (foot)

180cm or 1.80m = 5' 11"

178cm or 1.78m = 5' 10"

175cm or 1.75m = 5' 9"

173cm or 1.73m = 5' 8"
