Which one would you choose?

I have to decide very soon between getting a cheap camera and tripod or getting a new iPod touch. The camera would give me good photos and video. The iPod would give me good camera, video, games, apps, and music though... I want to do Youtube and which ever one I choose will the the one that I use to film my videos. What do you think??

Ipod touch. You'll get bored of the cheap camera after a week

Both will be something that you'll eventually (and probably quickly) stop using for video, especially if you plan on recording indoors or under low-light situations. A camcorder would be a vastly better option.

When making videos pocket cameras, even expensive ones, will overheat after 5-10 minutes of use. They also stop recording once the file size reaches 4GB which is about 12 minutes of 1080p (full-HD) recording.

You can avoid the headaches associated with making videos with compacts and tablets by just getting a camcorder.

Go for the iPod. In photography, you get exactly what you pay for.
