What type of heating system is good for a two story house? No or Low noise, preferably not electrical and efficient.?

    Those criteria are a bit in conflict, and a good time to get a couple of local pro assessments and bids. A steam heat boiler system might be the ticket, but costy if all new. Out here, with winters down to -25F, a modern forced-air NG system is usually the best. My newer two-stage system is much quieter than the one I replaced. Unless it's seriously cold, I can barely hear it run. Just sayin'.

    For any house, the easiest to implement is electrical heating.

    If you are able to route hot water (or steam) piping, you can use radiators and the like, but then you have to maintain a separate system.
