Is it possible to have really big eyes without having Graves' disease ?

    It really depends on what YOU mean by "really big eyes", my friend.

    If you're talking about 'bulging' eyes, the most common condition that causes this IS Graves' disease, but there are also other medical conditions which can cause it, such as:

    > Glaucoma

    > Hemangioma

    > Histiocytosis

    > Hyperthyroidism

    > Hyperthyroidism caused by medications for other conditions

    > Leukemia

    > Neuroblastoma

    > Orbital cellulitis or periorbital cellulitis

    > Rhabdomyosarcoma

    It CAN also be a family trait. Do either of your parents or close family members also have 'bulging' eyes?

    In any case, it's something that you should have checked out by your doctor, just to make sure that nothing is amiss.
