Linux Install help?

I'm trying to install Linux on my computer, but it isn't showing any hard drives besides the usb. For example, if I type fdisk, all it shows is the usb, and no other drives. I have 1 HDD, and 2 SSD's. I partitioned one of the SSD's and it isn't even showing the unallocated space. Any ideas?

Which distro? You're running a live USB, now?

Fdisk, without arguments, will report on the current disk (your USB). You can enter

    fdisk /dev/sdb

    fdisk /dev/sdc

    fdisk /dev/sdd

to see your other drives. (Not sure about the SSDs; I don't use one.)

You can also use the "blkid" command, which will report all of your block devices.

But, if you're new to Linux, you should be using a distro with a nice, reliable, GUI installer.

I'll check back, if you want to post updates.
