Whose rank is higher: the Superior General of the Society of Jesus or the Pope?

That is silly. The Pope is the head of the Catholic Church and the Vicar of Christ on earth.
The Superior General of the Jesuit Order is only the head of the Jesuits, They have a special vow of obedience to the pope.
Pope Francis, as a Jesuit, has a special vow of obedience to himself. That must be interesting.

The Pope is the leader of his fellow Bishops the first among equals. The Superior General is the leader of the Religious Order known as the Jesuits (Society of Jesus).
It's backwards in the Hierarchy of Prieshood in the Catholic Church the greater your position is within the Catholic Church the more people you serve under you in relation what Christ taught the Apostles when He washed their feet.
