Why do the areas of the U.S. with the best climates (Miami, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas etc) have the worst job markets?

Did you seriously just lump Las Vegas in there with Miami, LA and San Diego for climate?

good climate = lots of people want to live there = lots of competition for jobs

Uh, maybe because a lot of people want to move there so are looking for jobs, and the people there don't want to leave?
