How do you write a response paper to a novel?
I have to write a response paper for school on one of the novels I've read this summer, Montana 1948 by Larry Watson. I know I'm not supposed to summarize the book in a response, so do I just write about how I felt about the events in the book? How is writing a response different from writing a book review? What are some specific things (like themes and stuff) I should also address in my response?
