    Yes, and no.

The IOC recently suspended the Kuwaiti National Olympic Committee, so Kuwait was not allowed compete as a team. However the IOC does not penalise the athletes who qualify for the Games for the failures of their administrators and allows them to compete as Independent Olympic Athletes.

So while there is no team for Kuwait in Rio, 9 Kuwaiti have competed/will compete. Thus far they have won 1 gold and 1 bronze in shooting.

Kuwait has had multiple athletes do not sure where you are getting the idea from. They are though competing under the IOC because their countries reps were suspended.

They are taking part under the Olympic flag. One won the double trap event.

You know, I did not even realize that they are not in it.

But, surely, there is at least one more country not participating.

What I would like to know is, how long did Ku wait?
