Which one to choose-Ecology or Environmental Science?

Ecology is a branch of biology. Environmental science can mean almost anything but is more inclusive than ecology. For example, I call myself an ecologist, although I have taught environmental science too. On one project (before I dabbled in environmental science), I was asked to write up reports on public health, pollution from traffic, and garbage collection and disposal; review and edit reports on urban planning; and even design playground equipment.
Either can have you on the road for more time than you really want. It varies mostly with who you work for and (if teaching) what grants you get. Consulting for engineering companies generally means that you are perpetually on the road.
