Toyota has a LONG history or bending and breaking rules in the corporate world. They brought that same history and pattern into racing.

How many times has Toyota as a corporation been caught trying to manipulate engine testing to get a horsepower advantage.

It wasn't just the individual teams cheating is was TRD itself.

I have several with Toyoda (correct spelling by family name) in NASCAR. #1 is they have never made an overhead valve pushrod V8 engine for US Toyodas. #2 at the start of the 2015 season the Sprint Cup horsepower was cut which was in my opinion a move that clearly favored Toyoda. If you remember in 2014 TRD which builds the engines for all the top Toyoda Sprint Cup was forced to scale back on horsepower as the engines were blowing. NASCAR should have told TRD to get to work on the problem, not bend over backwards for them.

Could simply be because they feel NASCAR should only involve American manufacturers.

But Toyota wasn't the 1st foreign manufacturer.

    1962 - Alfa Romeo (Italy)

    1953 - Aston Martin (UK)

    1961-1962 - Austin-Healy (UK)

    1953-1956 - Jaguar (UK)

    1954, 1960-1963 - MG Motor (UK)

    1953-1954 - Porsche (Germany)

1960 - Triumph Motor Co. (UK)

    1953 - VW (Germany)

Because NASCAR originated as and should have remained an American brands automobile race.

Because they are not an American company most of the traditionalist redneck fans don't think foreign companies should be involved in the sport

Because they hate non white people. Think about the racism for Montoya. If Dale Jr had the jet dryer incident nobody would joke about it.
