From Brexit to Texit? Renewed calls for Texas secession after EU vote. Any thoughts?
Britain's startling vote to leave the European Union has reignited talks of secession in Texas, CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reported.
Daniel Miller, head of the Texas Nationalist Movement, sent a tweet to Gov. Greg About Friday morning calling on him to schedule a statewide referendum on "Texas independence."
The hashtag #Texit was trending locally, according to CBS DFW. People at the Fort Worth Stockyards had mixed reactions to the idea.

Good riddance. But before they go, they need to pay the US $60,000 per person, their share of the national debt. Pay for all the highways, roads, bridges, dams, airports, hospitals, etc. built with federal funds. Raise their own army. And of course, they will be renouncing their citizenship. So they would have to go through the immigration process to live or visit the rest of the US. Since they are denouncing US citizenship, the only way they could come here is to come here illegally.

Texas' independence would be a dream come true for the rest of the country. They are a taker state, not a contributing state.
