Was the Democrat hissy fit over gun control really a protest or a fund raiser?

It isn't about gun control it is about controlling the citizens

  • It's always both.

If they actually resume the sit-in after this break, I'd define it as a protest. Otherwise it's a fundraiser. That being said, politics is just one giant fundraiser.

It was a protest but it was more than a protest. It was a means of calling the country's attention to the fact that the House would not even vote on laws supported by over eighty percent of the people. It is not over! So, do not use the word "was."

A protest. Republicans are just trying to undermine its impact by making petty accusations about fund raising, as if both parties don't already use every issue as an excuse to raise funds. I get "Democrats are trying to deny your Second Amendment Rights! Donate to Rob Portman today!" emails at least once a week.

It made the statement that "Even though we swore to uphold the Constitution our top donors don't like the Bill of Rights!".

    It was a shameless fundraiser.

It won't help. Domestic terrorists will still be able to buy guns to do mass shootings.

Let me put it this way... no matter how much they hate the second amendment, they know that they'll never overcome it.
