SCREEN SAVER – Not activating lately?

Update:

.

I have a desktop DELL computer with Windows 7.

For the past month or so the screen saver just doesn’t

kick in after the set 15 minutes of inactivity.

I keep re-setting it with ‘Apply’ and then ‘OK’ for ‘Ribbons’.

I have done nothing in ‘Power Options’.

Am I doing something incorrectly?

Either contact Dell directly or browse Dell user forums. I have never had a problem with screen savers in Windows 7, though I have an emachines computer. I keep a couple of icons on my desktop to go directly to different screen savers at my whim and I have a third one set up as default through "personalize".

The screen savers built in to Win7 are on your boot volume which is usually "C". Find the ribbons with this address> C:\Windows\System32\Ribbons.scr. (It is near the bottom of a VERY long list under System32.) Just set up a shortcut to ribbons on your desktop (or wherever is handy for you). If clicking on this shortcut won't run the screen saver, you will have to try one of the other suggestions.
