No time line was given but it took months. Sarah Burton first had to design the dress and show drawings of her ideas and get Catherine's approval. Hand embroidery by the Royal School of Needlework at Hampton Court Palace was time-consuming, but lace was chosen from stock patterns and not made specifically for the dress. And then there were fittings to ensure that the tailoring was excellent.

Longer than it takes for using capital letters in a question.

The Chinese were able to knock off a copy within 5 hours of her setting off to the Abbey.
You would have to factor in the time to weave the cloth and to produce the machine-made lace, and the time for the members of the Royal School of Needlework to applique the dress.
