Why do Chinese dead quiet & obedient on learning Xi Jinping & 8 other top Party leaders have billions of wealth hidden in offshore accounts?

According to the lawyers document recently exposed, at least 9 top Chinese Communist Party leaders among the 20,000+ Chinese, including close family members of Mao Zetung, Xi Jinping, Wen Jiabao and so forth have billions of wealth and assets hidden in offshore accounts.

Xi Jinping has ordered not to respond to the offshore accounts. Website posts in China are immediately deleted on the subject.

While people in the west are firing questions at their leaders who are holding offshore accounts, as a result of which the Finnish Prime Minister has just stepped down, the UK Prime Minister is facing similar attacks, people in China on the contrary are dead quiet on the obvious corruptions of their leaders.

Though China claims itself the 2nd largest world economy with Chinese Communist Party the richest political party on earth, hundreds of millions Chinese are still making US$100 a month, working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week to make ends meet, with no medicare, no welfare, no social assistance of any sorts. People living in remote villages and mountainous regions do not have water, toilets, kitchens, roads, schools and doctors, their living conditions is similar to the Ching Dynasty of a century ago.

Update:

@ Araktsu, interesting write up! Boeing & McDonnell Douglas will regret, time proves as in the past 30 yrs since Chinese Communist Party opened its door to the world. CCP is only after in sucking foreign $, know-how, technology & management skills by scamming its vast market. Once everything is sucked up CCP will kick all foreign businesses out by imposing ridiculous taxes and strict regulations. Thousands of silly Hong Kong & Taiwan firms have fallen into the CCP trap, many gone bankrupt.

Update 2:

A small case in point, a western steakhouse joint ventured w/ a CCP-Chinese in Beijing. The business was very good for the first few yrs, soon the CCP guy learnt all the techniques of the menu, cooking & management, & opened an identical restaurant next door selling only 1/2 of the price. And you'll know what happened to the steakhouse!

A lot of HK/Taiwan small businesses gone bankrupt after moving their operations to China due to CCP starts levying huge taxes & stricter rules in recent years.

Update 3:

The poor business owners losing everything they once possess, have to go back to HK/Taiwan to live on government welfare.

CCP is using similar dirty tactics on HK/Taiwan's entertainment business, attracting silly HK/Taiwan entertainers to give up their own brilliant creativity, core values & beliefs in order to suit the tightly censored CCP market. CCP is hoping to dilute HK/Taiwan cultures similar to CCP been doing to Tibet and Xinjiang.

Your question: "Why do Chinese dead quiet & obedient on learning Xi Jinping & 8 other top Party leaders have billions of wealth hidden in offshore accounts?"

Chinese Communist proverb: It is better to be dead quiet and obedient than to just be dead and unresponsive.

“The largest famine in human history took place in China during 1959-61 … Although drought was a contributory factor, this was largely a manmade catastrophe for which Mao Zedong bears the greatest responsibility … We will never know the precise number of casualties, but the best demographic reconstructions indicate about 30 million dead ", British Medical Journal, December 18, 1999

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC112708...

“The crackdown that initiated on June 3–4 [1989] became known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre … The Chinese government … has prohibited all forms of discussion or remembrance of the events since. Due to the lack of information from China, many aspects of the events remain unknown or unconfirmed. Estimates of the death toll range from a few hundred to the thousands.”

Another Communist Chinese proverb: The organs of an enemy of the state are more valuable than the complaints of a thousand loud-mouthed peasants.

"Involuntary organ harvesting is illegal under Chinese law; though, under a 1984 regulation, it became legal to remove organs from executed criminals with the prior consent of the criminal or permission of relatives. Growing concerns about possible ethical abuses arising from coerced consent and corruption led medical groups and human rights organizations, by the 1990s, to start condemning the practice... China Daily reported in August 2009 that approximately 65% of transplanted organs still came from death row prisoners. The condemned prisoners have been described as "not a proper source for organ transplants" by Vice-Health Minister Huang Jiefu..."

President Richard Nixon opened free-trade with communist China for the benefit of investors who realized that what was previously called communist slave labor was a fabulous opportunity to make a profit from dirt-cheap labor in China. Every President and Congress since that time has followed the same path. The result was what is known as the de-industrialization of the United States.

One thing we can be sure of in our elected government in the United States: Political hacks do not bite the hand that feeds them, which is not the hand of the electorate in this case, but the hand of the Chinese Communist Party and the corporate interests that lobbied for favoritism to China.

The Chinese Communist Party has more influence on U.S. elected government than does the electorate. We the electorate are just a technicality, a means to an end by which professional political hacks get elected, but otherwise overall they seem to have no interest in our socioeconomic welfare or national security.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Wednesday his country planned to greatly reduce restrictions on foreign investment, as Boeing announced plans for an aircraft finishing center in China, its first outside the United States... Boeing’s long-expected move into manufacturing in low-cost China followed its news of a big order for some 300 planes from China, valued at about $38 billion at list prices."

The modus operandi has historical precedent:

    ---------------

"The McDonnell Douglas Corporation [then a part of Boeing] said today that it had won a fierce competition with the Boeing Company to supply at least 40 new jetliners to China in a deal worth more than $1 billion... McDonnell Douglas said the announcement of the deal was to be made by the Chinese Government in Beijing... planes to be assembled in China, with many of the components manufactured in the United States and Canada by McDonnell Douglas and its subcontractors."

by RICHARD W. STEVENSON, 28 June 1992, The New York Times

    ---------------

"The Cox Report: Chapter 10... Manufacturing Processes… In April 1995, the U.S. Government learned from McDonnell Douglas [then owned by Boeing Corporation] that six of the licensed machine tools had been diverted to a factory in Nanchang known to manufacture military aircraft and cruise missile components... concerns that the PRC could use the McDonnell Douglas [then part of Boeing] five-axis machine tools for unauthorized purposes, particularly to develop quieter submarines. Since the PRC wishes to enhance its power projection capabilities and is making efforts to strengthen its naval forces, the five-axis machine tools could easily be diverted for projects that would achieve that goal."

"In [George W.] Bush’s Words: ‘Join Together in Making China a Normal Trading Partner’... ‘From the start of this campaign, I have defined some sharp disagreements with the Clinton-Gore administration. But today I want to address an important area of agreement... The issue is whether to extend normal trade relations to China on a permanent basis. This vote is one step in the process of drawing China into the world trading system... For the people of China, it holds out the hope of more open contact with the world of freedom... Our greatest export is freedom. The people of China stand ready to receive it. The demand has never been greater.’"

More recently, Barack and Michelle Obama teach their children that pro-China ideological training in China is highly desirable:

"The high school was chosen for Mrs. Obama’s visit because it emphasizes the value of education abroad. Thirty American students are studying there this year under a program called School Year Abroad, and many of the Chinese students are expected to go to college in the United States. The Americans pay $50,000 a year, with students enrolled from elite East Coast schools, including Sidwell Friends in Washington, which the Obama daughters, Malia and Sasha, attend."

No media in PRC China is allowed to report the Panama leaks involving any of PRC leadership. Any related post on weibo or website, is immediately deleted by government. No discussions are allowed.

Even for when taking down Bo Xilai, and other top corrupted officials and generals, the government in the charges disclose only 1% amount of graft. People ask how could it be possible for the highest ranking communist party officials take same amount of bribery with village level communist members.

It's the way of the world. the rich will always be rich and the poor will always be poor and the Chinese do not have freedom of speech. I would imagine they would be risking imprisonment or death to protest in any way

    Why?

Because the news is censored and blocked in China.
